Caitlin is an RNA biologist focused on genetic neurological diseases — elucidating their molecular underpinnings and exploring novel platforms for treating them. Her work has emphasized various facets of gene regulation, namely transcription, co- and post-transcriptional RNA processing, and mRNA translation. Caitlin joined Tevard in 2021, after completing her postdoc in Susan Ackerman’s lab at UCSD. She received her Ph.D. from Gail Mandel’s lab at the Vollum Institute at Oregon Health and Science University.
